Below you’ll find a few examples of projects I’ve led in marketing communications. On the clock: warehouse operations team

The “On the Clock” video series highlighted various departments within the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). Responsible for concept, interviews, shot list, and approving video and audio edits. Video is in public domain on SMUD’s Instagram account.

SMUD’s year-long diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging initiative honored, educated, and empowered employees to share their own lived experiences and connect with SMUD’s work. Managed employee events and promotion, secured volunteers and coached them on speaking points, and produced video including video concept, script writing, shot list, voice-over talent, soundtrack selection, and approving edits. 2023 Year in review

SMUD’s annual “Year in Review” video highlights the organization’s operational challenges and accomplishments in pursuit of its 2030 Zero Carbon Plan. Responsible for writing script. Video is in public domain on SMUD’s YouTube channel.

Road to Zero: Meet Director of Power Generation, Joel Ledesma

The “Road to Zero” video series provided a behind the scenes look at SMUD’s journey to achieving a clean energy future, including employees who are making it happen. Responsible for interviews, shot list, and approving edits. Video is in public domain on SMUD’s YouTube channel.


The Future is Fair - An introduction to our strategy

Fairtrade International’s (Fairtrade) vision is a world in which all producers enjoy secure and sustainable livelihoods, fulfill their potential, and decide on their future. This document was an introduction to Fairtrade’s 2021-2025 global strategy, including their objectives and case studies. Responsible for writing copy, managing graphic design, pre-press, and publication. Document used new assets from the rebranding project, which I managed. Farmers: Fighting the Global Crisis

Award-winning documentary series developed as part of the COVID-19 Fairtrade Emergency Initiative, funded by BMZ/German Development Cooperation. Responsible for administration of the overall initiative, video storyline edits, and final approval for the series. Video series is in public domain on website managed by Fairtrade International.


Practical Guide to Creating a Brand of Prison Products

The United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) developed this guide to support Member States in developing or enhancing a brand of prison products or services, in full compliance with international standards and norms applicable to prison-based work programmes and prisoners' working conditions. Conducted market research, interviewed international stakeholders, facilitated workshops, presented findings and recommendations to prison authorities from 35 countries, and wrote copy for the guide.
